Fine Shredders

EuRec® Fine Shredders for production of smallest grain sizes. Even maize grain, wheat grain, oat grain, straw, waste from palm oil production, etc. is shred into several pieces. The shell is broken, but the grain is not milled. Good storage behaviour, no clumping.

Fields of Application:

Biogas plants: Production of biological aggregates on the field of wet fermentation of liquid pig manure, etc.

Animal feed industry: Broken grain is better to utilize within the food cycle than unbroken grain.

EuRec® Rotary Cutter

The patented EuRec® ROTARY Cutter was specially developed to shred corn and field crops. Aim of development was to create a shredder that doesn’t grind corn like maize, rye, wheat, barley, oats, etc., but to chip it. Wet corn is really heavy to grind, it tends to heavy agglutination and it is not storable for a longer period of time. If your intention is to use corn for the generation of biogas, then grinded material is less suitable.

Furthermore it is important to shred the corn during the short harvest period and to use the storability of the corn that is treated with the EuRec® ROTARY Cutter. In the end, a biogas plant is not planned to be in use only while harvest periods.

EuRec’s department of development was assigned to develop a high-throughput machine for a pig-breeding enterprise with connected biogas plant that does not grind crop, but just to chip it to make it best suitable for a longer storage and for the mixing with excrements from the mass keeping pet to create biogas. The development was successfully finished with the use of this innovative machine for the pig-breeding enterprise which meets the conditions of material treatment and which exceeded all expectations in a wide range. The requirement was set down by 40 tons/hour, with the 6-shaft prototype of the EuRec® ROTARY Cutter more than 70 tons/hour corn were treated already, but the full load of the machine was not even attained.

A further successful field of application for the EuRec® ROTARY Cutter is the shredding of field crops like potatoes, beets and animal remains etc. Even these wet plants and bodies are no problem for our EuRec® ROTARY Cutter. Further applications will be tested within next time.

The production of biogas from low-quality field crops respectively the energetical use of surplus field crops is a trend-setting for energy generation. EuRec® has faced this task of work.

As a side effect it came out, that the corn shredded with the EuRec® ROTARY Cutter is best applicable as animal feed, because the corn is not grinded, but crushed in small pieces, for instance horses can assimilate the oats without any problems and digest it much better, there is no dust that will come into the nostrils.

During application in a pig breeding plant it was possible to carry out an extensive test series. Dead and unshredded pigs were used as input material; they were shredded in the same way as slaughter-house waste. With the EuRec® Rotary Cutter, even larger animal carcasses can be reduced to a pumpable grain size.

The EuRec® ROTARY Cutter is available in different sizes. According to the required throughput you can order the Cutter with 2, 4 or 6 shafts. For each couple of shafts you can calculate a throughput of up to 50 tons/hour, e. g. for the shredding of grain of maize.
